WILLIE
NELSON ENDORSES
THE MILLENNIUM MARIJUANA MARCH
ATLANTA - Friday,
April 28, 2000
Willie Nelson was enthusiastically met by a drove of fans after his sold-out show
at the Tabernacle in Atlanta, Georgia. It seems that he always has time for his
fans after shows, taking time to autograph souveniers and having fans take snapshots
of themselves with Willie. He takes enough time to speak with everyone there.
Among the fans was a representative of the upcoming Millennium Marijuana March
scheduled for Saturday, May 6. The event is to be held in Centennial Park located
in downtown Atlanta across from the Tabernacle Music Hall.
Willie Nelson graciously offered his endorsement of the march and wished a few
of his fellow Hempsters a specific hello and shout of solidarity. That shout went
out to Tennessee's own Stephen Gaskin, candidate for the presidential nomination
of the Greens Party; Kentucky's Gatewood Galbraith, former gubernatorial candidate
of the Reform Party; and America's foremost expert on hemp, Jack Herer, author
of 'The Emperor Wears No Clothes". All are scheduled to speak after the march
on Saturday afternoon from 1-6pm at the Ninth Annual Great Atlanta Pot Festival.
